After the TVA receives a voice message for a user it
then sends an E-Mail notification to the user or attaches the
voice mail to the Email. This feature is simple Unified Messaging which is now a standard feature on all TVA products
and can be used even on the KX-TA824 or KX-AW848 product line,
as well as the KX-TD Digital or KX-TDA Digital line. When this
feature is used with a KX-TVA50 you must install an optional LAN
interface card. The LAN interface card is built into the KX-TVA200
so no additional hardware or software is required.
Interactive LCD Voice Mail Menus
When the KX-TVA product is added to a KX-TDA phone system
the telephone displays are interactive with the KX-TVA voice Mail.
As a unified platform these products work together to share information
including routing information and telephone key and display operations.
The added benefit to an end user is clear as day; no longer do
they need to remember all the key codes to handle voice messages.
When a user calls the voice mail to retrieve their messages
the voice mail provides the appropriate screen display for the
user to select a function. The displays are not accompanied by
audio prompts which speeds the retrieval of messages for a user.
Below
is an example showing the main voicemail message screen. In this
screen you have the option to Receive Messages, Deliver a message,
Check Distribution or Check the status of the Automated Attendant.
To receive your message scroll to Receive Msg. and press the enter key which brings you to the next screen.

The
screen below shows that Allen Anderson called and left a message.
The caller ID information is captured and stored with the message.
How many times have you played back a Voice Mail Message that
was 5 minutes long waiting for the call back number only to have
to replay the message again to capture the telephone number? Now
the message is clear.
Another
great example of how easy it is to use the voice mail features
is shown below. Setting a personal greeting for any of the modes
available is just a push of the button. It’s that simple!
There are many other functions that can be performed
using the LCD integrated voicemail menu.
Notes:
This feature will only work on Panasonic proprietary LCD display
telephones (KX-T7630, KXT7633, KX-T7636, KX-NT136.
The Voice Mail Menu feature requires KX-TDA 100/200 systems equipped with software version 2.01 or higher or KX-TDA50 with software version 2.0 or higher. |
Custom
Service Builder
Perhaps
one of the hardest and most time consuming issues you face when
installing a voice mail system is configuring the system for menu
dialing. An example of this would be to create a menu for reaching
different departments within a company. Dial 1 for sales, 2 for
marketing, 3 for service, etc. To simplify and speed installation
of creating these applications with visual references we have
designed a drag and drop programming interface. As shown in the
example below this allows you to drag menus onto a screen and
connect the dial by number item to the next menu step.

Custom Service Enhancement
Beyond
the simple-to-use custom service tool we have added four new types
of Custom Service functions for a total of five. The administrator
can create applications freely combining these functions with
the Custom Service Builder. The five custom services are:
(1)
Menu & Transfer
Menu
& Transfer service allows the administrator through programming
to route callers to specific destinations based on the DTMF digits
dialed.
(2)
Day Control
The
Day Control routes callers to different services based on the
day of the week or the day as a holiday.
(3)
Time Control
The
Time Control type routes callers to different services based on
the time of day.
(4)
Date Control
The
Date Control type routes callers to different services depending
on the date.
(5)
Password Check (Pin Number Routing)
The stored password can be up to 12 digits long. When
a caller hits a menu that has this password pin entered the caller
must enter the pin number to proceed to the next menu tier or
go to a predetermined destination. Just think of the possibilities
of this feature.
Transfer-to-Custom Service Option
In the mailbox settings under “Call Transfer Status”,
“Incomplete Call Handling Service Busy” and “Incomplete
Call Handling Service No Answer”, we have also added the
ability to route callers to a specific custom service.
Windows-Based Administration
Now you have the ability to program or make changes
to the system from a user friendly windows based software program.
The Administrator has several convenient options to program and
maintain the KX-TVA Voice Processing system. The Windows based
programming tool is included in the box with the product. To connect
to the system you can use the built-in USB port, RS-232C or (Internal
Modem) or connect to the voice mail utilizing your Local or wide
area network. You can also program the system off line and then
download it at another time to the KX-TVA systems.
Timed
Reminder Setting
Subscribers
can now set a timed reminder and confirm the timed reminder setting
from the subscriber service. Subscribers can do the following:
· Set the time and Mode Hour:1-12,
Min:00-59, AM/PM,
· Cancel the timed reminded |
